If your feelings are your guide to better decisions, a brighter attitude, gratitude, and a happier life then you need to really learn to hone into one feeling, love.
Love is your guide to take care of yourself and love yourself. Love gives you your sense of self-worth and the value of those around you. Love helps you approach and deal with conflict in a positive way. Love guides you through both major and minor life choices.
When love is so powerful, how is it so easy to suppress its messages to us? Rather than focusing on love, we often choose to focus on fear; fear of loss, fear of being late, fear of suffering. The fear speaks louder than love and before we know it we feel stressed out and exhausted. We spend all our energy guarding ourselves from the things we fear, when the entire time we could be releasing ourselves from stress by following our bliss and joy.
When we make a mental choice to put fears aside, we can choose to use the power of visualization to envision the things we fear turning out in a positive way. We can envision being on time, living in abundance, being with our perfect partner, securing that job, arriving safely, or whatever it may be. If you envision your perceived fear with a successful outcome, it can diminish the value of the fear and allow mental bandwidth to access your feelings of love.
When you are tapped into love you can follow your bliss. The love in your heart comes form the inside out to help you decide what to wear, what to eat, what social plans to make, what projects to work hardest on, etc.
Love can guide you through the small decisions and the major ones. I’ll share anexample of a small decision I made led by love. I went to a bakery the other day recommended for breakfast. I walked in, and while everything looked fabulous I realized I was not very hungry and the bakery only offered huge breakfasts. My head was telling me to stay because it was a unique place, because I was being waited on, and because it was recommended, but my heart was telling me, I just did’t want what they have to offer.
After spending most of my lifetime listening to my head, I experienced indecision and internal conflict about what to do. Finally, I decided to be true to myself, acknowledge that I didn’t want what they had to offer, and walked down the street to the local Starbucks. There I could get coffee, a small breakfast and internet access. It was everything I wanted, and I enjoyed a delightful morning just like I envisioned.
Again, this is a small example. I guess if I can master these little decisions by tuning into the frequency of love and following it, then I can grow the voice of love speaking to me through my intuition or inner voice. If I can do that, then I’ll live a much more enriching, peaceful, and fulfilling life.
