After living in Texas since 2003, Inevitably, A cook like me, had to learn to make guacamole! It is a delightful treat and ideal for a high-fat, low-carb diet. Even better that that, the recipe only takes 10-15 minutes to whip up. You can’t make

Guacamole My Way
any delicious dish without the essential ingredients. There’s no guacamole without avocados, so make sure they are ripe. You know they’re ripe when they’re dark and tender to the touch, never hard or squishy.
Guacamole’s Origin
The Aztecs created guacamole back in the 1500s and used mostly paleo ingredients that many people still use to make it. It’s name originally translates to avocado sauce.
Guacamole Ingredients List
- 4 small ripe avocados (300 g)
- 1 TBS diced tomatoes
- 2 tsp diced red onion (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice to prevent browning
- 2 TBS Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise
or olive oil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2-3 dashes of hot sauce
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Cut each avocado in half and take out the seed. I stick the blade of the knife in the seed and pop it out. Then spoon out the flesh of the avocado into a medium bowl. Repeat until all your avocados are scooped out. Then, add the other ingredients and mix. Finally, use a fork to make it chunky and use a blender or Cuisinart to make it smooth. Serve it in a bowl with Flackers Flaxseed Crackers
or Pork Rinds
or you can also divide into 6-7 small containers to have on-the-go snacks. These are tastier, lower in carbs and much cheaper than the common brands you see in the grocery store.
