Do you listen to your inner voice and follow your intuition? Do you force yourself to believe what you think you should believe, or do you pay attention to the truth within yourself?
I noticed that for many years I've been lying to myself and believing the lies because I wasn't clear about my thoughts and feelings or because I trusted someone else's opinion of what I should believe more than my own.
I am a wisdom and truth seeker, so, I vouch for the immense value in seeking others' opinions and perspectives based on their life experiences. Those perspectives and views can be helpful in shaping your world. Once you gain that insight though, it's important to let it simmer and then formulate your own thought on things.
There are many examples of places it is easy to take on another person's opinion or feed yourself a lie, rather than listen to your inner voice. For example, it's easy to believe lies you tell yourself about not measuring up or being good enough for something. Wouldn't it be better to focus on the things we love about ourselves and embrace and accept the things that make us unique? Have you ever considered that you are perfect through your self-perceived imperfections? It is our self-perceived flaws that make us who we are, and who we are is special, unique, and perfect.
Another example of taking on others beliefs is touting political perspectives or politically "correct" views, so we don't offend anyone. At some point, it's okay to accept the opinion you have. You should also accept others with their opinions because trying to change another person is not giving that person love.
Love yourself. Love your neighbor. So be honest with yourself and listen to your inner voice and guide to life. That honesty will help you follow your bliss into a life truly fulfilled with happiness and joy because you can!
