Challenges don't always have to end in a dark place. They can often have many benefits and set you up for more.
I don't think any of us loves experiencing challenges and would prefer to live in a constant state of joy and bliss. I choose to be happy and put on my happy face everyday, and eventually the difficulties go on their way.
The challenges remain as a memory that I tend to wish never happened. Why did I have to go through that? Why did I have to experience it? Read my story for an example.
Years beyond that experience and others, I'm finally choosing to be grateful for them. I learned because of them, and I grew to be a better person. I love myself more because I learned I'm a fighter and a survivor. I became more perfect as a result of my challenges. You know, we keep growing more and more perfect every day.
I've spent so much time in a challenge dreading every moment of the experience and beating myself up for some "mistake" I made that lead me to that point. Now, I see that I don't have to choose to be miserable though a challenging time. I can choose to be happy. I know joy is my job, and if I have an attitude of gratitude through it all, the end will come faster and be better than I could even imagine.
Now, past challenges that I overcame help me to have greater perspective for current and future challenges. The more I focused on the trials in my life, the more they seemed to enter my life. After making conscious decisions for happiness and joy, the challenges seemed to fade away.
At the point when you can be grateful for every challenge, you have truly succeeded because they are no longer a road block but a leg up to greater personal growth and enlightenment.
Be grateful for your challenges because you can!
