It's been a busy and fun year full of joys and challenges. In December of 2013, I finished the first draft of my manuscript of my first novel, Tango on the Heart
(working title). Since then I've been working on editing and honing the craft. I believe writing is a craft, like all other artistic endeavors, that can be honed and improved for a lifetime.
The novel is about an Argentine girl who journeys from cowardice to courage in a coming of age, new adult, romance. In the book, Camille must learn to be true to herself and do what is right for her over succumbing to the pressures of family, tradition and obedience. It is a story of how the pursuit of love for yourself and another can be transforming.
Amidst the excitement of writing and writing courses, I achieved my yoga teacher training certification in Ashtanga Yoga, which is a huge bucket list item checked. In July, I plan to attend the Romance Writer's of America Conference in San Antonio where I hope to engage with publishers and literary agents in between workshops.
In the meantime, I'll continue the love of blogging and creating more videos to keep getting the message out in as many platforms as possible. More content is always available in my book, Views from the 13th Floor, available in both hard and soft copies on my site or on Amazon.
Thank you to all readers and followers for giving this blog life outside of me. Please keep the comments and shares going to keep the conversations rolling because you can!
